Key Information:

June 23, 2010 - The preliminary Technical Program Schedule and Abstracts of the presentations and workshops are now available.
May 8, 2010 - The deadline for submission of abstracts for the technical program has passed. Due to the large number of submissions received, the program is full. Therefore, NAAMLP is no longer accepting abstracts for consideration.

Guidelines and Instructions to Authors/Presenters

General

The conference committee plans to distribute a flash drive containing all papers and presentations to all conference attendees. The Guidelines and Instruction to Authors/Presenters have been developed to help authors present their paper in a professional format.

Papers must be in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format, and presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint format. Papers or presentations in other formats will be returned for re-formatting.

Papers and presentations should be emailed to presentations@NAAMLP2010.com. The subject line should be your Lastname NAAMLP Paper Submittal. Additional information and requirements for submitting papers and presentations are included within the Paper Submission section of the Guidelines and Instruction to Authors/Presenters.

Please submit your paper, presentation, and biographical sketch to the above email address by no later than August 13, 2010. Papers and presentations received after this date may not be included on the conference flash drive.

Due to the number of presentations scheduled, (approximately 90), all presentations will be limited to a 30 minute time slot. Some workshops, panel discussions or special presentations will be provided longer time slots, and the lead presenter for each of these will be notified of the time allotment for those. Please plan for a 20 minute presentation and plan to allot 5 minutes at the beginning for transitions and introductions and 5 minutes at the end for questions or discussion. As a general rule-of-thumb, PowerPoint slides should be limited to approximately one slide per minute. Session moderators will require presenters to adhere to their allotted time.

By June 11, 2010:

Review your abstract:

Make sure abstract is 300 words or less (Abstracts in excess of 300 words will not be included in the conference program)

Review abstract for spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.

Review author/presenter information (name, organization, address, etc.)

If abstract okay as is:

Email (presentations@naamlp2010.com) indicating abstract is okay as is

In that email, also indicate the number of people who will be presenting at the conference

If abstract needs revisions:

Email (presentations@naamlp2010.com) a revised version of the abstract including any corrections/edits

In that email, also indicate the number of people who will be presenting at the conference

By August 13, 2010:

Email (if < 25mb) or snail mail (if> 25mb) electronic copies of final technical paper and/or presentation (Details are included in the guidelines and Instructions for Authors and/or Presenters available on the conference website www.naamlp2010.com)

Submit a brief biographical sketch of each person who will be presenting at the conference

Between now and the beginning of the conference:

Make hotel reservations (Details for both can be found at www.naamlp2010.com)

Check the conference website periodically for updates and announcements. A draft presentation schedule should be posted by the end of June.
